For example, if your boss criticizes you, don’t stew it over. Instead, acknowledge tat it happened, and take from the situation whatever helpful lesson you can. Adjust your working style id needed. Then forget about the rest. That way, you’re able to move on, so you can do a better job and kick ass the next time.
Our background and circumstances may influence who we are, but we are responsible for who we become. We may screw up making choices but life is not about it, it is what steps we take to rectify them.
A NOTE TO SELF: Be calm. Seek your center, that's where your strength is. Breathe. When you inhale, you are charged with energy. When you exhale, you rid your body of tensions; relax. Don't think. Obey your instinct. ~ Isabelle Allande|City of The Beast

Be Like A Coconut Tree
A Brilliant Strategy for ‘’Stress. Less.’’
Yeah it sounds like a lame assignment from a high
school drama class. But, think about it: have you ever noticed a pine tree on
the beach? Very rarely, and that’s because a typhoon would snap a pine tree in
two – too rigid to withstand the force. A coconut tee, on the other hand, is
strong yet flexible. It bends with the wind, and as a result, its more likely
to survive and stand tall way after a disaster.
And that’s exactly how some of the most successful
people approach life. When you encounter a challenge, where it’s a mistake at
work, paying off a ton of debtm, getting over you ex-boyfriend, or even
overcoming a personal crisi, the secret to coming out on top is being flexible.
That means going with the flow of the situation and not resisting it at every
ebb and tide. When you’re having a crappy daym, say to yourself ‘Okay, this is
what’s happening, and it sucks…but I can handle it. I’m not going to break.’
This accomplishes two things: it instantly makes you feel in control, since
you’re facing the situation instead of wallowing in denial and angel, and it
replaces a negative thought with a positive one.
