In June 15, 1991, Mount Pinatubo erupted with a
tremendous force that affected the globe. It was the second largest terrestrial eruption of the 20th century after
the 1912 eruption of Novarupta in the Alaska Peninsula. The effect altered
the climate from vast amounts of ash and gas ejected high into the atmosphere. And in that case, the result was a measurable cooling of the Earth's surface for a period of almost two years. As to the
surrounding areas, it caused severe damages that wiped away everything and
covered them with ashes which remained up to the present.
